Abstract

For use by all persons with responsibility, through ownership, consultancy, design, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, inspection, repair, modification and testing, for compression refrigeration systems utilising A3 (hydrocarbon) refrigerants. Attention is drawn, in this guide, to the wider responsibilities inferred in the provisions of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Should be read in conjunction with BS EN 378, and the Pressure Systems and Transportable Gas Containers Regulations (1989). Replaced by Safety code of practice for refrigerating systems utilising A2 and A3 refrigerants 2009.
