Abstract

Form of Sub-Contract specifically prepared for use with the JCT Major Project Form, allowing for many of the key provisions contained within the main form including: comprehensive statement of obligations; provisions to permit acceleration of a project; and bonuses for early completion. The JCT Major Project Form was prepared to respond to the specific needs of those Employers who have in-house contractual procedures and regularly undertake major projects, and the Contractors with whom they work. The Sub-Contract reflects the format and approach of the Main Contract and anticipates that the Sub-Contractor will be similarly experienced in undertaking work on major projects and have the management and other resources necessary for the successful execution of this type of work.

Document History

Should be read in conjunction with MPF - Sub contract guidance note.
