REP LPR 16 Gaseous fire protection systems
Aims to offer objective and impartial advice on gaseous fixed fire extinguishing systems within the framework of an overall approach to fire protection which encompasses risk assessment and selection of agent through to commissioning and maintenance of detection and extinguishing systems.
Loss Prevention Council
Formed from a merger of the Fire Offices Committee, the Fire Insurers Research and Testing Organisation and the Insurers Technical Bureau in 1984, the Loss Prevention Council (LPC) later went on to develop a certification body, the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), itself taken over by BRE Certification in April 2000. Other LPC documents are now available from the Fire Protection Association.
