REC RC 30 Recommendations for electrical equipment in flammable and explosive gaseous atmospheres
Gives guidance on the selection, installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and wiring for use in potentially flammable/explosive atmospheres (excluding mines) involving gas or vapour.
Loss Prevention Council
Formed from a merger of the Fire Offices Committee, the Fire Insurers Research and Testing Organisation and the Insurers Technical Bureau in 1984, the Loss Prevention Council (LPC) later went on to develop a certification body, the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), itself taken over by BRE Certification in April 2000. Other LPC documents are now available from the Fire Protection Association.
