Government response: Sprinklers and other fire safety measures in new high-rise blocks of flats

Abstract

Presents the Government response to the September to November 2019 consultation, focussing on requirements within Approved Document B relating to sprinklers in high-rise blocks of flats, wayfinding signage for fire and rescue services, and evacuation alert systems. Implementation will take the form of a 6-month transition period, due to come into force by 26 November 2020.
