Abstract

The scope of this Design and Maintenance Guide is to provide planning and design guidance on the provision of Physical and Recreational Training Centres (PRTCs) for use by members of the Armed Forces and their families. The guide is primarily concerned with the provision of 'dry' sports and training facilities for multi-purpose use and to meet a standard of play up to inter unit/command level. The Services requirements for the provision of 'wet' training facilities is considerably less and only limited guidance on training pools is given.
