Abstract
The scope of this Design and Maintenance Guide is to provide detailed guidance on the design of sleeping and living accommodation for junior service men and women within the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Army and Royal Air Force. This guide deals with the particular requirements of military users and is applicable to modernisation and refurbishment, as well as new build projects. The guide is aimed at assisting those involved in the procurement and design stages of JRSLA projects, to act as a resource document that reflects the latest MOD policy, design practice and performance standards.
