Abstract

The installation of Utilities services to individual dwellings on a development site is a vital stage in the building programme. This publication covers in detail the particular requirements for service entries and intends to: (a) enable the Utilities to provide and maintain mains and services economically and minimise interruption of services; (b) simplify work programmes; (c) minimise installation delays and assist in achieving handover dates; (d) reduce the risk of damage to Utilities' plant and apparatus; (e) reduce and simplify administrative and legal processes; and (f) rationalise the layout of Utilities' apparatus.
