Abstract

Specifies the requirements which are to be met for natural gas or LPG installations at pressures not exceeding 5 bar, from the point of delivery of the gas up to and including the appliance(s) in non-domestic premises. For LPG installations it also includes the requirements for the installation of intermediate pressure systems between the outlet of the first stage pressure regulator at the bulk storage tank (or cylinder) and the second stage regulator(s) which supply the low pressure system. Includes requirements relating to: the design, construction and testing of pipework, pipework ancillaries and meters for new installations as well as to replaced parts of, or extensions to, existing installation pipework; purging of air from, and the admission of gas to, pipework installations and their hand over to the operator; the installation and commissioning of appliances; and the safe operation and maintenance of installations in use.
