2007

Abstract

Gives operational guidance on electrical safety requirements for low voltage systems in healthcare premises. Aims to assist in meeting the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, which detail the precautions to be taken against risk of death or personal injury from electricity in work activities.

Document History

Superseded by HTM 06-02 'Electrical safety guidance for low voltage systems (Welsh version)' with status note amended March 2013. Supersedes HTM 2020 - Electrical safety code for low voltage systems. This document shares a number of model forms with HTM 06-03: Electrical guidance for high voltage systems. When completing the forms trusts should consider ways of clearly distinguishing between low voltage and high voltage forms particularly when the two systems are present on the same site. Status note dated January 2007.
