Abstract

Advises local authorities and prospective applicants on the need for planning permission for on-farm green waste composting activities. Addresses organic garden waste and other vegetable wastes usually processed by outside windrowing to produce usable compost. Applies where green waste is brought onto the farm unit from a single or several sources for processing in outside windrows, with the product either used within the farm unit or sold to outside customers.
