Abstract

New expanded and revised edition. Covers business and financial management, professionalism, the law, human resources, insurance, communication and marketing. Much of the detail has been updated to reflect recent changes in legislation, case law and best practice. New sections include: limited liability partnerships, employment law, staff appraisals, tax, information technology and CAD. There are also significant revisions to the section on insurance, especially PII, and communications now includes guidance on attending meetings, giving presentations and how to deal with telephone, fax and e-mail messages. Intended as a primer to best practice in architectural business management, and aimed at architects and part 3 students.
