Building in the green belt? A report into commuting patterns in the Metropolitan green belt

Abstract
Examines the assumption that new residents living in housing built through the release of green belt land around London will commute by rail to jobs. Finds that it is more likely that there will be far more additional car journeys as a result of building on the green belt and that relatively few would travel by rail, despite living within walking or cycling distance of a station.
