Location of development - mapping planning permissions for housing in two North West city-regions

Abstract

Comprises research by the RTPI and Bilfinger GVA into spatial patterns of housing growth in England and considers the impact of this growth on towns and cities, as well as rural areas. Specifically maps planning permissions in the city-regions of Warrington and Blackburn, providing in-depth analysis of each, to illustrate the location and scale of new housing developments and how effective the planning system is in these areas.
