Publication Year

2004

Document Status

Abstract

Discusses proposed amendments to the pollution prevention and control (Scotland) regulations 2000, with the aim of minimising the regulatory burden in a number of industrial sectors and reducing the regulatory effort required by SEPA. This is in line with the Executive’s policy that regulation should be proportionate to the risk posed to the environment and to keep burdens on business from environmental regulation to a minimum, consistent with the need to implement European Directives.

Document History

Consultation closed on 17 March 2005. No longer applicable as amendments implemented in SSI 2005/101 and SSI 2005/340.
