Abstract

For use where the building work is simple in character, designed by, or on behalf of, the employer; where the employer is to provide drawings or a specification or work schedules to define adequately the quantity and quality of the work; and where a contract administrator is to administer the conditions.

Document History

The current edition of the Minor works building contract is: JCT Minor works building contract 2016 (SMA, 2016). JCT 2005 Contracts should not be used for construction contracts entered into after 1 October 2011. Replaced by: MW 11. With MWD 05, replaces - MW 98. Updates the 2007 revision. The principal revision is the incorporation of sustainability provisions, following JCT’s consultation, and provisions building on OGC’s Achieving Excellence criteria. Aspects of the payment provisions have been modified while awaiting the outcome of the proposed payment legislation.
