Abstract

Section 6 aims to deliver effective energy efficient measures that are incorporated into building design, focusing on performance of the building fabric, fixed building services and lower carbon dioxide emissions. Intends to achieve improvements in new buildings of 43% reduction in emissions compared with the previous 2010 standards (60% compared with the 2007 standards).

Section 6 (energy) 2015 - Non-domestic. This new section 6 (energy) of the Technical Handbooks will apply from October 2015. It has been published in advance to support investigation into and the development of solutions to meet the new standards.
