Abstract

Sets out the principles against which a new Natural Environment Framework (NEF) will be developed and seeks views to design how the new approach will be made operational. The NEF will have a stronger focus on sustainable land and marine management in Wales and it will adopt an ecosystems approach. The final outcome of the work in 2011-12 will be a clear set of national priorities, backed up by institutional and regulatory changes and integrated local delivery mechanisms.
