Abstract

Guides the implementation of Eurocodes for design of new and modification of existing highway structures, including geotechnical works, on English Strategic Road network.

Superseded by: IAN (W) 124/14 Use of Eurocodes for the design of highway structures (WG, 2014). Wales only IANs are issued by the Welsh Government. They contain specific guidance, to be used only in connection with works on the motorway and trunk road network in Wales. IANs must be read in conjunction with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW). Applicable to Wales only.
