Aims to equip all those involved in the design of development with advice on: how 'Promoting sustainability through good design' and 'Planning for sustainable buildings' may be facilitated through the planning system; and the preparation and validation of mandatory design and access statements. Covers: definition of design, design process, design issues, local authority design policy/advice, sustainable buildings, design and access statements.
