What is Medium?

Launched in 2012 by Twitter co-founder Evan Williams, Medium is a publishing platform that features a uniform, minimalistic design that serves to put the writing in the spotlight.

You can find out more about Medium and browse articles from a wide range of contributors on the medium website at www.medium.com.

What can I find on Medium?

Insightful, thought-provoking insight, analysis and rambles on pretty much any topic you can think of.

You can access content through curated channels, by seeking out an author of interest, through themes or through the search terms of your choosing. Curated 'editor's picks' and a 'reading roulette' serve to perk up your reading list.

Where should I start?

Whether you've just discovered Medium, or your reading list could use a refresh, or if you're simply interested in following as many sources of construction news and commentary as possible, we've pulled together a list of Medium posts to get you on your way.

Our list is not meant to be exhaustive - merely to signpost particular posts we've found interesting. Tweet us your favourites @theNBS and we will add them to the list to share with others.
