Manufacturer Spotlight: Actis Insulation joins RIBA CPD Providers Network

We are delighted to announce that building insulation manufacturer Actis Insulation is now delivering RIBA-approved CPD content. We caught up with UK Marketing Manager Maria D'Costa to find out more about the manufacturer's products and its CPD content, which can now be found on ribacpd.com.

Actis Insulation has designed and manufactured insulation and membrane products since 1980. As well as listing its products on NBS Source, Actis has recently joined the RIBA CPD Providers Network. We caught up with UK Marketing Manager Maria D'Costa from Actis to find out more about the manufacturer’s products and why it decided to start delivering RIBA-approved CPD. Here’s what Maria said:

Actis Insulation’s CE-marked Hybrid system can be used on walls, roofs, ceilings and timber floors in refurbishment and new build projects. All products are aimed at eliminating thermal bridging and offer impressive thermal performance. They are flexible, clean, quick and easy to install. The system is approved by the NHBC and Premier Guarantee when used in accordance with the certification and it has LABC and LABSS registered details.

All RIBA-approved CPDs must be educational, innovative and have a clear learning outcome. Our CPD seminar ‘Addressing the performance gap with reflective insulation was developed with this in mind, as well as the ongoing Building Regulations Review.

The seminar looks at the causes of the performance gap, evidence from research, and solutions from the manufacturer’s point of view, including tools to access these solutions.

We are currently presenting the seminar online. The move to online CPD has proved to be very successful for us and well received by our audience. We had over 40 attendees on our first online event with lots of interaction.

Our specification and technical teams also look forward to presenting at RIBA CPD Roadshows in the future.
