About NBSNewsroom

The free-to-use NBS BIM Toolkit provides step-by-step help to define, manage and validate responsibility for information development and delivery at each stage of the asset lifecycle.

The toolkit is an indispensable way of delivering projects to meet the requirements of BIM Level 2, in accordance with the Government mandated use of this on all public sector projects.

This presentation serves as a brief introduction to both the UK Government’s standards and tools for Level 2 BIM and the technical content and functionality of the NBS BIM Toolkit.

It explores the built-for-BIM Uniclass 2015 classification system, definitions and template tasks and demonstrates some of the key functionality of the toolkit – including the digital plan of work, import/ export and verification functionality and a range of options when it comes to interoperability.

Notes within the presentation provide further context and links to a range of useful resources.
